Two Strikes and YOU’RE STUPID!

I have Conservative friends. People I love but cannot for the life of me fathom. I know Deadheads who call themselves Republican. That’s just messed up.

In the spirit of Bill Maher, I hereby impose a New Rule:

If you voted for George W. Bush twice, YOUR OPINION NO LONGER MATTERS.

Whatever, na na na na, I can’t hear you, talk to the frickin’ hand.

Enough is enough. If you lack the judgement to see a snowjob when it’s forcefully sodomizing you – FROM THE FRONT – then you cannot be trusted to determine right from wrong. And that’s really what this is about.

Now, Democrats are no bastion of brilliance or effective governance, but at least they’re just the wussy little brothers going along for the ride. The Repugs let ’em keep the roach every now and then. Hell, they’re a cheap date – they’ve been nursin’ that same warm wine cooler for three decades now.

If your ears did not turn fire-engine red when George Bush pronounced Saddam Hussain “EVIL!” from the White House Rose Garden in the days following 9/11, then you are truly a dupe. A rube. An ignoramus.

Up to then, I’d been thinking, “at least we’ve got one of these gun-nut pseudo-southern boys to go out there and GET SHIT DONE.” That all went out the window with the word “EVIL!”

What are you, our shamanic chieftan all of a sudden?

Ridiculous. Absurd. Arrogantly stupid and yes, even childish. And yet, half the fucking country went along with it. TWICE. Whu…? Uhp… I…. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PARANOID DUMBSHITS?

Bill Kristol, eat my shirt. Your “Project for a New American Century” was a dirty, greedy con, and your children and mine will live to suffer its debt. Why the New York Times (liberal, really?) ever agreed to pay you for the projectile-vomit smugness you call your opinion after so many years of being SO VERY WRONG IN EVERY WAY is … is… unimaginable. I guess the long arm of the Heritage Foundation reaches up ALL ASSES, simultaneously.

NEWT GINGRICH!?! Really? That bat fucker has made a career of obfuscation and behind-the-back handshakes. He may actually be “EVIL.” (And I don’t even believe in that shit.)

Tom DeLay, Richard Pearl, Grover Norquist, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, you know the list. These people are all invested in a very un-American something: that there are things only certain elite fuckers are entitled to know, and the rest of you can believe what we tell you. The economy’s great! The war will only last six weeks! Or six months! Or six years! Or….

Deploy Rush Limbaugh! Deploy Sean Hannity! Deploy Bill O’Reilly and Michael Weiner, er… Savage! Glenn Beck’s always easy. (Can he read?) Shit, what’s Dr. Laura doing these days? That ice-cold black-hearted loveless scorpion will say anything! Get her today’s talking points, post haste!

Pathetic. And if you bought any of that stupid “liberals are ruining everything” bullshit then you probably never got laid in the sixties or seventies, either. (I was pre-pubescent, so I’ve got a good excuse.)

Sorry you miss your daddy. So do I. But then, he was an ex-Navy arch-conservative reactionary who would’ve voted twice for Bush, just like you, had he not died.

Still love you, Dad! Rest In Peace.

  1. Sir
That was as fine a rant as I’ve had the pleasure to read in some time.

Most people that cast a vote haven’t got a clue.
I think everyone should have to pass a test before they get to vote.
If your too stupid to pass the test you’re too stupid to vote.

The candidates depend on the stupid vote to get elected.

    Lets take it away.

Gore just bought himself a new 100ft. houseboat to go with his big house and his other toys.
Do as I say not as I do – you dumb stupid sheeple. And don’t forget to buy your carbon credits from me. Your hero – Al Gore

    Enjoy the day

  2. cripsyduck Says:

Thankye. I could give a flying ratfart about Gore’s yacht. Wish I had one. And could afford it. Mine’d be even greener.

  3. barndoor cowlegs Says:

well said my friend, what kills me is that there are still people out there who think George W is the bees knees…STILL and not just the billionaire screw america first crowd either, actual work-a-day john q. citizen types still fall for this crap! I think it’s due mainly to nationalism- “so what if my job for less than a living wage sucks, so what if my kid has PTSD from running over kids in Iraq, so what if i get cancer from coal run-off in my drinking water, at least we got us a strong leader to say f u to the rest of the wussy ass world” These folks let xenophobia and nationalism override their self interests the only thing that’s gonna change it is economic disaster, unfortunately, a lot of folks will suffer before they see the light. I call W “pumpkinhead” cuz his head is gigantic! you can tell when he’s not wearing his bulletproof vest cuz it looks even bigger. By the way, who cares what Al Gore is up to? If your’e concerned about Democrat hypocrisy concerning the environment just take a look at Tim Kaine. If the dems can’t defend the environment(and the people’s wishes) who ya gonna call? GhostBusters!?

  4. Thanks for a real “feel-good” sort of story, Crips. You always know just what to say. . .

  5. And how many of those two-strikers will take the third strike in November? It’s beyond comprehension.

  6. My dearest waterfowl. Please excuses the length but you got admit that I have to reply in kind.
    PROLOG:
Until the population of this country demands and gets term limits (which they have but of course the ones that would have to act to make that happen never will because it’s not in their best interest) on the legislative class (i.e. Congressmen and senitors), we will continue to have and have had from the founding a very inept (I believe the reason is that there are people involved in the process and all people suck) representative democracy. Lest you forget, this country was founded as a representative democracy not a democracy. They are two very different terms and should be used correctly or your opinion is ignorant (as in the definition of the word ignorant, if you are feeling insulted) and without merit in any discussion of the workings and problems of this country

I was wondering when you were going to respond to that excerpt from Thomas Sowell. I guess not all African Americans with prestigious educations care about the people and just want to screw the planet and get embarrassingly rich. I guess, from what I have read, higher education and intelligence really depends on who you are, not what you have studied or learned. Come on man, your starting to unravel and become what you can’t stand, a hyperventilating partisan (not a bad word) just like you consider popular (by actual audience measured by third parties) talk radio host to be. Is it not the case that one thing we all agree on is that we need to be able to agree to disagree? Or has it come to that we are all just screeding at each other that “I know best you F$%k dirt bag, so shut up!” I think that kind of sentiment really weakens your argument, except to those who agree 100% with you. I know you are dubious of those who agree with you to that level cause we discussed that before, my brudder!

Here are Mr. Sowell’s dubious credentials just to prove how much of a hate monger idiot he really is.

And this is an OP-ED article from a UK paper (could be owned by Rupert, don’t know. If ownership is bad than maybe Obama is the man ‘cause he doesn’t own anything (except his house and that deal is real clean. Can you say Resco (? spelling)) That’s right, my bad, owning stuff is bad, especially businesses, so bring on that collectivism that Barndoor Batshit claims is not what the SP of A would like. But I digress) from July 25, 2008 on Ol’ Barry, who is to save us from ourselves with hope and enlightenment gained from running The Harvard Law Review, being a community organizer ( Does anybody know what that is? The only community organizer that comes up in a Google search on the first page (even when spelled incorrectly and correctly) is Mr. Obama. I think Rev. Al Sharpton is considered one, as is Jessie Jackson. Please, I would like to know.), and a one term senator.
As far as the Harvard Law Review experience, I have just been reading Governor Linwood Holton’s memoirs’ (W&L grad, Harvard Law degree, and, most importantly, the crusher of the democratic Byrd machine of “Massive Resistance” fame (if you smarty pants are uninformed on that topic, you really should do your homework) and the REPUBLICAN governor who integrated all the schools and governments of Virginia!!!!!!!) referred to those who ran the review as “law geeks”. Take it for what it’s worth. Although I know and love me a geek or two, a geek is a geek.
Here’s the article in it entirety and it is a funny good read if you’re not the type with a rake up your ass about satire. Enjoy!
    By Gerard Baker
“”And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.
The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.
When he was twelve years old, they found him in the temple in the City of Chicago, arguing the finer points of community organization with the Prophet Jeremiah and the Elders. And the Elders were astonished at what they heard and said among themselves: “Verily, who is this Child that he opens our hearts and minds to the audacity of hope?”
In the great Battles of Caucus and Primary he smote the conniving Hillary, wife of the deposed King Bill the Priapic and their barbarian hordes of Working Class Whites.
And so it was, in the fullness of time, before the harvest month of the appointed year, the Child ventured forth – for the first time – to bring the light unto all the world.
He travelled fleet of foot and light of camel, with a small retinue that consisted only of his loyal disciples from the tribe of the Media. He ventured first to the land of the Hindu Kush, where the
Taleban had harboured the viper of al-Qaeda in their bosom, raining terror on all the world.
And the Child spake and the tribes of Nato immediately loosed the Caveats that had previously bound them. And in the great battle that ensued the forces of the light were triumphant. For as long as the Child stood with his arms raised aloft, the enemy suffered great blows and the threat of terror was no more.
From there he went forth to Mesopotamia where he was received by the great ruler al-Maliki, and al-Maliki spake unto him and blessed his Sixteen Month Troop Withdrawal Plan even as the imperial warrior Petraeus tried to destroy it.
And lo, in Mesopotamia, a miracle occurred. Even though the Great Surge of Armour that the evil Bush had ordered had been a terrible mistake, a waste of vital military resources and doomed to end in disaster, the Child’s very presence suddenly brought forth a great victory for the forces of the light.
And the Persians, who saw all this and were greatly fearful, longed to speak with the Child and saw that the Child was the bringer of peace. At the mention of his name they quickly laid aside their intrigues and beat their uranium swords into civil nuclear energy ploughshares.
From there the Child went up to the city of Jerusalem, and entered through the gate seated on an ass. The crowds of network anchors who had followed him from afar cheered “Hosanna” and waved great palm fronds and strewed them at his feet.
In Jerusalem and in surrounding Palestine, the Child spake to the Hebrews and the Arabs, as the Scripture had foretold. And in an instant, the lion lay down with the lamb, and the Israelites and Ishmaelites ended their long enmity and lived for ever after in peace.
As word spread throughout the land about the Child’s wondrous works, peoples from all over flocked to hear him; Hittites and Abbasids; Obamacons and McCainiacs; Cameroonians and Blairites.
And they told of strange and wondrous things that greeted the news of the Child’s journey. Around the world, global temperatures began to decline, and the ocean levels fell and the great warming was over.
The Great Prophet Algore of Nobel and Oscar, who many had believed was the anointed one, smiled and told his followers that the Child was the one generations had been waiting for.
And there were other wonderful signs. In the city of the Street at the Wall, spreads on interbank interest rates dropped like manna from Heaven and rates on credit default swaps fell to the ground as dead birds from the almond tree, and the people who had lived in foreclosure were able to borrow again.
Black gold gushed from the ground at prices well below $140 per barrel. In hospitals across the land the sick were cured even though they were uninsured. And all because the Child had pronounced it.
And this is the testimony of one who speaks the truth and bears witness to the truth so that you might believe. And he knows it is the truth for he saw it all on CNN and the BBC and in the pages of The New York Times.
Then the Child ventured forth from Israel and Palestine and stepped onto the shores of the Old Continent. In the land of Queen Angela of Merkel, vast multitudes gathered to hear his voice, and he preached to them at length.
But when he had finished speaking his disciples told him the crowd was hungry, for they had had nothing to eat all the hours they had waited for him.
And so the Child told his disciples to fetch some food but all they had was five loaves and a couple of frankfurters. So he took the bread and the frankfurters and blessed them and told his disciples to feed the multitudes. And when all had eaten their fill, the scraps filled twelve baskets.
Thence he travelled west to Mount Sarkozy. Even the beauteous Princess Carla of the tribe of the Bruni was struck by awe and she was great in love with the Child, but he was tempted not.
On the Seventh Day he walked across the Channel of the Angles to the ancient land of the hooligans. There he was welcomed with open arms by the once great prophet Blair and his successor, Gordon the Leper, and his successor, David the Golden One.
And suddenly, with the men appeared the archangel Gabriel and the whole host of the heavenly choir, ranks of cherubim and seraphim, all praising God and singing: “Yes, We Can.” “

Oh, just for fun like a poke in the eye, oil closed down $5.16 today 8/8/08 at 114.86. Can you do the math? I know GWB can’t but that beside the point. He said we need to drill twice now in as many weeks, people have stopped topping off the tank on a whim (read less demand) and other like actions have happened. Results, lo and behold prices have dropped. Damn, market forces do work! Who’d a thunk? The world is a scary place when you don’t believe or understand well established economic fact. Stop playing and do some reading of people you disagree with, agree with, and don’t know what to think of. Then apply your reasoning powers not your feelings. That’s hard because you are a good person and do truly care about people, but try and be Spock for a moment.

  7. cripsyduck Says:

    Sorry, Scooby,

I started reading this far-too-fucking-long heap and then I remembered the new rule. I was this close to deleting the thing.

Yeah, I can copy and paste, too. If you want to demonstrate your intelligence, you could learn how to post a link and spare me the five page BS lesson. You demonstrate your desperation with that crap and I, for one, refuse to read it.

My column is a response to self-righteous right-wing fucknuckles who show up all over blogs with the most trivial, childish, thoroughly refuted, poorly thought out crap fed to them by the loving RNC. (Whose motivations are pure as the driven snow, fer sure.) Go ahead, vote for your billionaire daddy figure while the rug’s being pulled out from right beneath you. But don’t expect respect.

Wake up and smell the rot. It’s you.

  8. Cripsy-do,
Ya, I could/should have posted the link. Sorry I didn’t cause it side tracked you from commenting on the rest of my rotting pile of well reasoned and I believe logical comments. Please feel free to delete the satire although I thought you of all people could appreciate good satire. As far as Sowell is concerned, you disagree with his assertions I am sure but I’d like to read the rebuttal. You must admit his credentials are as impressive as Mr. Obama’s is so he has to be as worthy of your consideration as Mr Obama. I would think it would stimulate good debate. I am not at all desperate dear one. You know how I feel about McNumbfucknuckle and politicians, as my 1st paragraph speaks to that point. I find no joy in this election but if I want to complain, I have to participate. “Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.” Point well taken but logically I can’t justify carping about a (existing) system that I don’t participate in. If I am self-righteous, you’re the Pope! I strive, as you well know, to be true to my heart, support ideas that are logical, and not based in some utopian concept that could never work due to the fact that we humans have to be involved. No government is ever going to make its population happy. Only the individual can make him or herself happy. You must acknowledge, if you had read that far, that the right desegregated Va. not the left. I would note that it may have been long ago but it is relevant and a wonderful thing.
Wake up and smell the acrid smoke. I think free radical neurons have set your hair on fire. A very large extra powerful bloody mary should put it out.

  9. cripsyduck Says:

First off, Sowell is a Friedman-ite, which means he has been horrifyingly wrong for decades now. They call it “neo-liberal economics” everywhere in the world but here. And they hate it. “Free markets” ultimately fuck civilization if left unchecked by forcible government intrusion. Industry is tyrannical by design.

Secondly, that’s not satire. That’s not even funny.

  10. barndoor cowlegs Says:

Is that two strikes for dogboy? or is it three? holy mackerel, p.s. SP is cool with collectivism, no denials there, my eyes hurt from all that repub spew, maybe, dogboy, shorten your gripe next time- someone might read it…lessen you voted fro pumpkinhead, don’t you feel even a little bummed by ol’ George? I know a coupla repubs and so-called conservatives who see how hard their cause has been fucked by Bush, not that their cause is worth much….welp, get a job hippy…

  11. So I guess US economics and those who teach it and study it have been wrong since ……. I guess the founding of the country? I guess I don’t know squat but I guess Fuedalism ( a form of collectivism with very robust intervention by the governing entity) was the best thing and its all been down hill ever since. I bet I am wrong but I know you will kindly educate me on that shortly.

If the US sucks so bad why do we have an immagation (folks from elsewhere wanting to be here) problem? I guess I may be worg about that but that seems to be the overwelming concensis. But if we do have folks wanting to be here, they must all be the most worthless selfabsorbed crapmasters that their sociates have forced out and sent here to screw us cuase they don’t know how good they have it at home.

I guess a Phd means your a prepubesant hatefilled douchbag. I am learning so much. I will have to inform my son in law that his doctatorial thessis on satire and the Phd gained was a worthless evdevoir and his proffessor position is a joke becuase that artical he turned me on to is not satire and is not even funny.

I guess China has srewed itself with the culmination of that fact being yesterdays event.

I have said many times as you know GWB was never my choice for anything. I must be wrong but have I not heard on this page that Gore has his own problems too? I guess I was hulcinating at the time but Kerry also was less then awe inspiring is something that I think has been discussed. I probably wrong on that too.

Barndoor, just suck it! I have been in and out of work since 2006. The first termination was my choice to leave a company I founded. Had to sell my house (sold in 48 hrs), move to low cost east carolina country bumkinville. Worked at selling insurance (easy to get job needed so I could eat and put a roof over my wifes’ head) till they put me on commision only. After 5 months of letter writing, phone calls, interviews,. and more debt had to take a Apu type job. Finally got a job I loved working in real estate development ( high end mixed use high density sustainable LEED type stuff) for an Adderall adict who replaced me with two interns. One is from China who came here to be educated in finance, boy is he fucked. It is accually better to work for a self aware coke adict that a speed adict who does even understand that he is on speed. Been back on the hunt since 5/19 and prospects are excellent.

  12. cripsyduck Says:

Allright, Scoob, spellcheck, brother. And please be a little more succinct. And you don’t have to get all personal, this is an open forum. We just think you’re full of shit.

You loved Bush. We argued and argued. It wasn’t until this war went on 20 times longer than predicted that you a-holes on the right started to soften your “Yale billionaires for freedom” stance. Still happy we spent the entire treasury on our occupation? And dude, a $.02 drop in the price of gas is not progress.

Yeah, I think Friedmanite economics (we call ’em Reaganomics) are totally fucked and that that has nothing to do with immigration (which I can spell.) Hell, Friedman was a New Deal guy until he saw the yawning chasm of darkness that is top-down, trickle-down neoliberallism. (Quick bucks for me and my richest buddies? And we get to do whatever we want? Sure! Now how do we convince all the broke fuckers whose lives this will ruin to vote it in… oh I know, we’ll repeat the mantra “free markets cure social ills much better than communal institutions.” Who cares if it’s just a marketing slogan made up by McDonald’s ad men and has no bearing on reality whatsoever?)

The fact is, the “free market” screws you, but you’ve been buying that Limbaugh crap for so long you still think what they want has something to do with individual liberty. A corporation is not an individual, and up until the 20th century, corporations were regularly dissolved by the government (which is supposed to be us, remember?) when they had lived out their usefulness, proven wasteful, destructive or just plain fucking greedy.

Hell, Jefferson wanted a corporate lifespan of one generation and restrictions on corporations owning one another (I can’t own you – if a corp is a person, how come it can buy another corp?). Hell, at the time of the founding of this country, THERE WAS NO LANDED GENTRY. No Americans had gained that type of wealth, the kind that allows individuals to unduly influence elected governments, which is where we are now.

Finally, a degree from Harvard deos not a wise man make. As a conservative who poo-poos the intellectual class, I would think you would understand that.

  13. I was still on my first cup of joe and just plain forgot. Damn dyslexia.

I knew you could educate me. Barndoor started the personal shit with the job smirk. Were down .20 here last week. Have not bought it recently. Crude is down at least $40.00 over a shorter period than it went up $40.00

I think you miss understood my defense of what we have vs. other choices that were not nominated. Let me correct any misunderstanding right here, I voted for Harry Brown, Bill Clinton, held my nose cuase the libertarians fucked their chances and voted Dole, same thing in 2000 and ’04. Knowing what you …… of course you would.

The past is the past. I for the life of me, dear brudder, still wonder why arguing the past is moving the argument forward. Of course, knowledge of history is crucial.

So what arrangement would be satisfactory for a well functioning society? Who and under what circumstances could that change be made?

  14. Oh, one more point. You are not catching some sarcasm, i.e. the education comments.

  15. barndoor cowlegs Says:

Sorry bout the job smirk, was just trying to lighten things up, maybe make a small point about joblessness not always being a result of laziness, or a lack of bootstraptitude. Hope you find better employers this time.

  16. Barndoor- Thank you!

  17. FYI:
FLASH: RASMUSSEN Poll release at Noon Eastern:

47% Favor Fairness Doctrine for Radio, TV…

31% Want Government Requirement for Bloggers to Abide by Guidelines…

Maybe we’re more screwed than I have been willing or thought possible….BY OTHER CITIZENS’ OF THIS COUNTRY not the government or politicans. Has there ever been a civil war of citizens’ vs. citizens? Maybe it’s time.

  18. cripsyduck Says:

Are you kidding? Reagan’s abolishment of the fairness doctrine is how we got Fux news. That’s why our news companies are now owned by bigger companies that can consolidate and control their content. Ever heard NBC discuss the negatives of nuclear power? And you never will. Fairness doctrine. The current dogma holds that for every left-wing radical (which you will also NEVER see on corporate media) you need two or three right wing obfucators. A little fairness could go a long way.

  19. Here’s the link http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/47_favor_government_mandated_political_balance_on_radio_tv
I was accually more concerned about the Blog aspect. Ireregardless of the corporate corruption aspect, I think there is also a First Amendment issue here. I would fight to the death to protect your right to call me a “PARANOID DUMBSHIT”. The poll seems to indicate that a fair number of our fellow citizens would rather not have to hear things that they disagree with, including you and “Fux News”. Censorship works both ways and once it’s accepted that its ok to silence one disagreeable voice than all voices could be determined to be disagreeable. I would prefer to make up my own mind as to what I will read or listen to than have what available dictated by some douche bag politician.

  20. cripsyduck Says:

The point is, you don’t get to decide. All the major news outlets are owned by HUGE companies that give them the bottom line: Israel is off limits, whatever the president says goes on air without a dissenting opinion, Unions are for radicals, Wal-Mart is great!

But I’m with you about blogs. It seems impossible. You can’t stop somebody from printing up a newsletter saying all dogs are racist or whatever, and blogs are just digital extensions of that. I think us loose cannons are still safe for now.

    At least, I hope.

  21. The ratings for major news outlets and programs have steadily decreased as other options have become available. The biggest indication of eyeballs going elsewhere has been the decline of ad revenue for papers. The big 3 US papers (LA, NY, Boston) have had to all cut staff recently due to loss of revenue. I would imagine they would support application of the “fairness doctrine” to competing news and opinion outlets which 31% of the fucknuckle people support due to being offended by someone’s opinion. By the way, from what I’ve read, it seems that the destruction of Georgia, for control of the only oil supply for Europe that Russia doesn’t control, is not causing much uproar amongst those who are very concerned about our “war for oil”. I’m just sayin’………

  22. cripsyduck Says:

Didn’t Georgia start this conflict? And isn’t there some implication that McCain’s strategist compelled them to do do so? And aren’t you guys excited that you get your cold war back? I thought cons lived for trumped up bad guys. October surprise, anyone? Say it along with McCain: “Mr. Putin, REBUILD THIS PIPELINE!”

  23. Holy Hell, you and Pat Buchanan agree! What’s up with that! Here’s the link.
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/uc/20080815/cm_uc_crpbux/op_337063;_ylt=AskRtC7ChgWymD7ECMLhis8lr7sF

  24. cripsyduck Says:

Good old Pat. I always did like that conservative nut. One of the few who will say shit with a mouthful. Much respect.

  25. I am so confused. I think I need to watch and absorb “Dr Strangelove” more thoroughly. What was the point … oh that’s right. How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb! Hope I get a chance to visit before we’re vaporized. I case I don’t; love ya-mean it!

  26. cripsyduck Says:

Then again, Scooby, it was Kubrick’s only comedy. Purity Of Essence, no doubt. See ya soon.

  27. Boy….and I thought I was verbose!

    Great stuff!

  28. Big man Says:

this was great i enjoyed every line

  29. mommy 5 Says:

    i love everyline dude

  30. cripsyduck Says:

    cheers, you guys!
